Data Retention Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

From the Valorra Exchange Legal Centre

This policy describes how long Valorra Exchange keeps different categories of data and what happens when it is no longer needed.

1. Purpose

We keep personal data only as long as it is needed to operate the marketplace, complete transactions, meet tax and legal obligations, and resolve disputes — and no longer.

2. Retention Periods

Account and profile data: kept while your account is active and for 5 years after closure or deletion, to satisfy record-keeping and dispute requirements. Verification and identity documents: kept for 5 years after account closure or after the related transaction completes, whichever is later. Transaction records (deals, offers, payments): kept for 7 years to meet tax and audit obligations. Messages: kept for 3 years after the related deal completes or the conversation ends, whichever is later. Deleted or withdrawn listings: retained internally for 2–5 years for audit and dispute purposes.

3. Deletion and Anonymisation

When a retention period ends, we delete the data or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you. You can request account deletion from Settings; we will honour it subject to the records we are legally required to keep.

4. Legal Holds

Where data is needed for an active dispute, investigation, or legal obligation, we may keep it beyond the periods above until the matter is resolved.

5. Your Rights

See our Privacy Policy for how to access, correct, or request deletion of your data.
