We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data, and to being transparent about how it is used. This Privacy & Cookie Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your data when you use the platform, together with the cookies we use.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you register or use the Platform, including your name, email address, phone number, state, and role (seller, buyer, or agent). We also collect property and transaction details you submit, documents you upload, and records of your activity (interests, offers, deals, messages, and notifications).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the Platform: to verify identity and listings, connect sellers, buyers, and agents, process and track transactions, attribute agent referrals, send notifications and updates, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Where you have consented, we may send marketing communications.
3. What We Share
We share information only as needed to run the marketplace: for example, a buyer's details are shared with the seller and referring agent when they express interest or negotiate a deal. We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers (e.g. email and analytics providers) bound by confidentiality, or where required by law.
4. Data Security
We protect data with well structured security so users can only access their own records, server-side role checks, encrypted connections, private file storage with time-limited signed URLs, and rate limiting. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Cookies & Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect your account, and prevent fraud — these are always on and cannot be switched off. With your consent we also use analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand which pages are visited and how the platform performs, in aggregate. We do not run third-party advertising cookies or sell your data. On your first visit you can accept all cookies or keep only essential ones; clear your browser's cookies for this site to change your choice.
6. Data Retention
We retain records while your account is active and afterwards where needed to complete transactions, meet legal and tax obligations, or resolve disputes. See our Data Retention Policy for the specific periods. You may request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to the records we are legally required to keep.
7. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law (including the Nigerian Data Protection Act), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
